Valluvar Kottam, NungambakkamThis place is home to the memorial of a renowned poet, Thiruvalluvar. The memorial is built to resemble the temple chariot located in Thiruvarur. It is considered to be a reflection of the Tamil culture. It also houses an auditorium, which is one of the biggest in Asia with a capacity of 4000 people. 





    Fort St GeorgeSituated on the banks of the Bay of Bengal it marks the spread of the British influence across India. It was then that the city of Madras came into official existence. 






    San Thome Church, San Thome High RoadThis is probably the only monument reminiscent of Chennai’s colonial lineage. Apart from being an amazing piece of architectural work it also considered to be a sacred place equivalent to a pilgrimage to various people around the world.







      Doveton HouseOver 200 years since it was constructed and this structure, still standing tall has played house to various offices, a jail, a residence and today it houses the admin offices of the Women’s Christian College Campus.
