Satyam Cinemas, Royapettah – Located a little off Mount Road, Satyam Cinemas is the first multiplex in Chennai. Apart from theatres, it also houses exhibitions and other entertainment such as gaming etc, making it one of the leading cinemas in Chennai. INOX, Mylapore – INOX as a group is into entertainment and it has multiplexes across all major metros in India. Escape Cinemas, Whites Road, Royapettah – The city’s first ever luxury multiplex is located in the largest mall in Chennai and the whole of South India. Ega Multiplex, Kilpauk – This newly renovated multiplex constitutes 2 theatres, Ega and Anu Ega and is among some of the oldest theatres. They play the latest of all Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and English movies.


Casino, Chintadripet – This is one of the oldest theatres of Chennai that is still the most visited, mostly by Telugu people. It is the one place where almost all Telugu movies get released at almost the same time as in Andhra, which is what makes it the most visited by Telugu people.
