Former AP minister and senior most TDP leader BV Mohan Reddy(67) passed away after a brief illness here on Friday.An astrologer-cum-politician, BV Mohan Reddy, who contested in the recent byelection for the Yemmiganur Assembly constituency in Kurnool district, dropped from poll campaign midway after he fell sick and was hospitalised.He was elected from the same constituency for five consecutive times from 1983 to 1999.He joined TDP when popular NT Rama Rao launched the party in 1982. A close confidante of NTR, he was an astrologer for both NTR and TDP.
Mr Reddy, who served as a minister in the cabinets of both NTR and Chandrababu Naidu, was suffering from cancer. He is survived by a son.
Several TDP leaders paid their last respects.His body was shifted to his native and last rites will be performed on Ulina-dakonda.
